Project Status

The name of the project status. Used in pick lists when working with projects and displayed in the Projects’ banner and in tables. Each status is tied to a set of controls which determine what actions you can take with a project having this status.

Include projects with this status in open project lists

If this option is selected, projects with this status appear in lists of open projects.

This status be set manually

If this option is not selected, you can only use this status if you include it in an event setting. For example, if you link the status “Sent for Approval” to the event “the project is sent for approval”, the status is automatically changed to “Sent for Approval”.

Cancel any open work order tasks

If this option is selected, all open work order tasks charged to a project given this project status will be canceled and given the cancellation reason chosen in the Cancellation Reason box. The cancellation will occur whether the status is set manually or through an automatic event.

Reason for canceling the tasks

The reason that will be used when work order tasks are canceled by this project status. The reason for canceling will be displayed in tables and reports. An example of a cancellation reason is “Project Canceled”. Tip: The list of cancellation reasons is created in the Work Management view, Settings tab, Work Orders tab, Cancel Reasons tab.
