Requirements planning

Use the following settings for work order

You can set a rule that determines whether or not users can perform activities on unplanned work orders. An unplanned work order is a work order with a status of New or In Planning. A work order is considered to be planned when either it has been approved (if approval is required) or the Mark as Planned option has been used. If you select “Do not allow activity”, users cannot perform the following actions on unplanned tasks: • Creating activity reports • Closing a work order or task • Creating transactions (timecards, issues, swaps, transfers, and so on) • Scheduling a work order or task • Creating a pick list • Creating a requisition • Creating purchase orders • Downloading a checksheet to a mobile device • Entering indicator readings

Allow the derived cost type and maintenance account to be overridden

Whether or not users can override the derived maintenance account and cost type on work order tasks based on this work type. APM automatically derives a GL account for charges to an asset or work order task, based on the site’s accounting settings. When this option is selected, users can override the derived account for labor, direct purchases, and inventory usage charged to an asset or work order. When the account number is overridden, the replacement account number is used on subsequent documents and transactions (work order requirements, timecards, issue transactions, purchase order lines, and receipts). Users will also be able to override the cost type that has been set for the resource.

When an SAP maintenance order is created from an APM work order, it is assigned this order type.

Control key for maintenance orders

When an SAP maintenance order is created from an APM work order, it is assigned this control key.

Order type for maintenance items

When an SAP maintenance item is created from an APM standard job, it is assigned this order type.

Activity type for maintenance items

When an SAP maintenance item is created from an APM standard job, it is assigned this maintenance activity type.

Control key for task lists

When an APM standard task with this work type is sent to SAP, the task list is assigned this control key. The default value is “PM01”.

Set name

The value entered here must exactly match the corresponding set name in Oracle eAM.

Use	Select the option that the PM Scheduler process uses to calculate work order dates.

Next service based on

If the schedule type is rule-based, the start date is calculated. If the schedule type is “list dates”, you can select “start date” or “end date”.

Multiple rules date to use

Indicate how the predicted due dates are determined for multiple rules: First date – the due date is set to the first due date of all rules Last date – the due date is set to the last due date of all rules

Schedule type

The schedule type can be rule-based or date list-based.
