To generate CMMS information for an individual site only, click Site and select the site from the list. If All sites is selected, CMMS information is generated for all sites in the enterprise.

The majority of the CMMS assets are

Select the type of asset to which APM assets will most often be linked. This will be the default setting on the assets’ CMMS tabs. You can change this setting on individual assets later, if necessary.

Standard tasks

Select A CMMS object already exists... if your APM database contains standard tasks that have matching objects in the CMMS and the same identification numbers are used in both systems. When the CMMS integration information is generated, An equivalent task exists in the CMMS is selected on each standard task’s CMMS tab. Clear this option if most of your APM tasks do not correspond to objects in the CMMS. If only a few tasks will be linked to CMMS objects, you can manually identify the CMMS number for those tasks.

Standard jobs

Select A CMMS object already exists... if your APM database contains standard jobs that have matching objects in the CMMS and the same identification numbers are used in both systems. When CMMS integration information is generated, An equivalent job exists in the CMMS is selected on each standard job’s CMMS tab and the job number is copied to the CMMS identification number. Clear this option if most of your APM jobs do not correspond to objects in the CMMS. If only a few jobs will be linked to CMMS objects, you can manually identify the CMMS number for those jobs.

Asset numbers that are all numeric are to be right-justified and zero-filled

The majority of equipment and assembly records have identifiers that consist only of numbers. Select this option to have the asset numbers padded to the length that you specify in the Length box. The identifiers are padded with zeros to the right of the number to achieve the specified length, if necessary. Note: This option is not available if the majority of CMMS assets are functional locations.

Length of the asset numbers in APM. SAP identifiers that are shorter than the specified length are padded with zeros.

Task lists are identified in APM standard tasks with group numbers and task list counters of the length specified. The numbers are padded with zeros to achieve the specified length, if necessary.

Regenerate the existing asset CMMS information

Select this option if you want existing CMMS information to be regenerated for assets. Any information entered on assets’ CMMS tabs will be replaced by default values. The CMMS information should only be regenerated if incorrect options were selected when the CMMS information was originally generated.

Regenerate the existing standard task CMMS information

Select this option if you want existing CMMS information to be regenerated for standard tasks. Any information entered on standard tasks’ CMMS tabs will be replaced by default values. The CMMS information should only be regenerated if incorrect options were selected when the CMMS information was originally generated.

Select this option if you want existing CMMS information to be regenerated for standard jobs. Any information entered on standard jobs’ CMMS tabs will be replaced by default values.
