Use This Hierarchy To use this hierarchy, select this check box. You can use up to five hierarchies for organizing your assets. The first hierarchy represents how your assets are physically related to one another. You can use additional hierarchies to organize your equipment in a different way for quick searches or comparisons. Note: Hierarchy 1 is selected by default and cannot be turned off. See Also Hierarchy Name The name for this hierarchy. The name is used to identify the hierarchy wherever it appears in the user interface, such as tab on the Asset view. Examples of typical names are Physical Hierarchy, Process Hierarchy, and Searching Hierarchy. The name can be up to 50 characters long. See Also Use for Posting Costs Select this check box to use this hierarchy for rolling up costs. “Rolling up costs” means that any costs that are charged to an asset included in the hierarchy will also be added to its parent assets in the hierarchy.
