Work Type

Select a work type from the list. You cannot save the task without selecting a work type. The work type that you select can affect the types of information that can be entered on the task. For example, if you select a work type that does not include indicator information, the Indicators tab is hidden, and you cannot add indicators to the task or to any work order tasks created from it. The work type can also affect whether or not work order tasks created from this task must be approved.

Expected Frequency

Select how often this task should be performed. This information provides a guideline to work planners.

Operating Condition

Select the asset operating condition from the list. You can select asset operating conditions on standard tasks and on work order tasks to tell the people planning, scheduling, and performing the task what condition the asset must be in for the work to be started. For example, you might have an asset operating condition called “Shut down”.

Maintenance Group

The maintenance group that will work on the task. Select the appropriate maintenance group from the list. For example, you might select a mechanical group or an electrical group. APM uses this information to determine the GL account segment for labor charges, the default planner and scheduling options for a task, and to filter and sort lists of tasks for scheduling.

Select a predictive maintenance technology for the task from the list. This information appears on work order tasks created from this task.
