If you want to prevent APM from recalculating the P-F interval for the failure, select Lock the PF Interval. While it is locked, the P-F interval can be manually changed, but it will not be recalculated by APM.
• Open: APM continues to track failure statistics and the PF interval (if appropriate) for the failure.
• Resolved: Statistics and the PF interval (if appropriate) are no longer calculated.
• Canceled: Statistics and the PF interval (if appropriate) are no longer calculated.
APM constructs a full hierarchy location using the code that you enter in the Hierarchy code box joined with the hierarchy codes for its parent/ancestors. The codes are separated by a period (.). Hierarchy locations are updated whenever the asset or one of its ancestors is moved within the hierarchy (or if a hierarchy code changes).
• Alarm Unacknowledged: When a failure is created in the process of acknowledging an alarm and the acknowledgement is later reversed, the failure is automatically cancelled.
• Indicator Reading Marked as Incorrect: When an indicator reading is marked as “fixed during inspection”, a failure record is created automatically. If the reading is later marked as incorrect, the failure is automatically cancelled.
• Manual: A user selected or opened the failure and used the Cancel command.
