RFQ Requirement Rules Source
How the RFQ requirements are determined for this resource: either using the site’s rules, or using the rules entered on this resource.
Default RFQ requirement rules are set at the site level. However, you can override the site's RFQ rules for a resource. This allows you to tailor the rules for each of your resources. To override the site's settings, click the View RFQ Policies button, and then select the option Do not use the site’s rules.

RFQ is required for purchases when
Select this option to have the system use rules to determine whether or not an RFQ is required for this purchase type. For example, you can select different rules for regular purchases and rentals.
When you select this option, you should select one or more of the listed rules. If you do not select any of the rules, an RFQ will not be required for the purchase type.

Effective Price Rule
Select this option to have the system require an RFQ whenever the resource does not have a currently valid price for the purchase type. For example, the system will require an RFQ if the resource is requested but its latest price has expired.
Note: If a price has no effective end date, the system considers the price to be expired for the purposes of this rule.

Cost
If you have selected to require an RFQ whenever the cost of a demand is greater than a certain amount, enter the amount in this box. Whenever a demand for this purchase type is greater than the entered cost, the system will automatically request an RFQ to be created.

Select this option to have the system require an RFQ for this purchase type whenever the cost of a demand is greater than a certain amount. Enter the amount in the box provided.

Recently Purchased Rule
Select this option to have the system require an RFQ whenever the resource has not been ordered within a set number of days. For example, you can have the system require an RFQ if the resource has not been ordered within the last 90 days. Enter the appropriate number of days in the box provided.
