The site to which this purchasing contract applies. When you add supplier resources through a contract, they are owned by the same site at which the contract is owned. You can use a purchasing contract to create purchase orders: • At the same site as the contract • At a site below the contract's site in the hierarchy.

Title

The name or short description of this item. You can enter up to 250 characters.

Purchase type

The options available in the list will depend on the type of resource that is selected (trade, material, tool, or service): • Regular purchase: Used for new material purchases. • Consignment purchase: Used for consignment purchases. • Repair orders: Used for repair orders for this resource. • On site contractor: Used for on-site contract labor (purchased trades). • Service order: Used for service-type resources or job contractors (trades). • Equipment orders: Used for tool-type resources, such as an equipment rental.

Product number

The supplier’s reference number for this resource. Every supplier uses a different reference number for the item, and this number must show on the PO so that the supplier will know what item is being ordered.

Use Supplier’s Description

Select this option to have the system use the description on the supplier resource as the purchase order line description (appears on printed purchase orders) when the supplier resource is set for the line. If this option is not selected, the system uses the resource description as the purchase order line description, regardless of which supplier resource is selected.
