APM constructs a full hierarchy location using the code that you enter in the Hierarchy code box joined with the hierarchy codes for its parent/ancestors. The codes are separated by a period (.). Hierarchy locations are updated whenever the asset or one of its ancestors is moved within the hierarchy (or if a hierarchy code changes).
Enter the total value for the current life of the asset. For example, if the indicator is an odometer and the vehicle has travelled a total of 14,000 miles, enter 14,000. If you enter a number in the Current meter value box, you must also enter a value in this box.
If you have entered a life-to-date value, the system calculates the current value. Note that if the indicator is measured as an Accumulated Value, for an odometer that has been assigned a roll-over value of 9,999 miles (on the Meter tab) and you entered 14,000 as the life-to-date value, the system enters 4,001 miles as the current value.
